Benington Pride 2025
The highlight of the weekend takes place Saturday, June 14. Queer Connect and other community leaders will march at 11 AM from Hemmings on Main St, through the four corners, to the TD Bank entrance. With roots stretching back to the Stonewall Uprising in New York City in 1970, Pride began as a civil rights demonstration and has evolved into a powerful symbol of resilience, unity, and advocacy.
In 2025, as LGBTQIA+ communities across the country face rising levels of discrimination, marginalization, and violence, our Pride celebration takes on even greater meaning. This year, marching together isn't just about celebration — it's about visibility, resilience, and standing against hate.
Our annual celebration is a testament to the progress made in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights, but it also serves as a reminder of the ongoing challenges and inequalities that persist.
As we come together to fill Main Street of Bennington with love, color, and pride, we:
Honor the past by remembering the pioneers who paved the way,
Celebrate the present by affirming our vibrant, diverse community, and
Fight for the future by demanding dignity, equality, and safety for all.
Immediately following the Pride March, Bennington Pride’s renowned Block Party returns on Saturday, June 14 at the Splash Pad and surrounding streets, from 11:30 AM to 3 PM. The family-friendly Block Party promises a day filled with excitement and celebration.
Thomson Stage, next to the Splash Pad, serves as Bennington Pride’s main performance stage. Attendees can expect a diverse lineup of performances, speakers, and hosts, driving the show with energy and enthusiasm. From live music to inspiring speeches, Pride is set to captivate audiences and amplify the voices of the LGBTQIA+ community. Designated activities and programming tailored to young attendees will promote inclusivity and understanding from an early age. The Block Party offers a platform for organizations and initiatives dedicated to LGBTQIA+ rights, social justice, and community support to engage with attendees and raise awareness about important issues facing the community. Of course, no festival would be complete without delicious food – and Bennington Pride delivers with an array of food vendors offering culinary delights..
Join us for a day of joyous commemoration and vibrant festivities as we unite in solidarity and reaffirm our commitment to love, acceptance, and equality for all. Bennington Pride invites everyone to come together, celebrate diversity, and embrace the spirit of Pride in all its glory.
